Exhibition Stadium was the original home of the Toronto Blue Jays from 1977 to 1989, an open-air ballpark on the shores of Lake Ontario where Canadian baseball got its Major League start. S. Preston captures that piece of Blue Jays history in this officially licensed minimalist art print. As seen in ESPN and Sports Illustrated. A must-have for any Blue Jays fan or the perfect gift for the Canadian baseball fan who remembers when it all began.
OFFICIALLY LICENSED ARTWORK OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL.
Team: Toronto Blue Jays
Artist: S. Preston
Variant: Arched Grandstand
The first MLB ballpark to be outside the US borders was the Toronto Blue Jays home ballpark on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds (CNE). The venue served as the home of the Toronto Argonauts for years, so they had to retro fit the ballpark within the confines of a Canadian Football field - which is luckily larger than a US Football field.
